converts will be virtually all hobbiests. People who know AppleWorks inside
and out may have little incentive to switch to MS Office if AW meets their
needs, but no one is going to switch from Office to AW.

That's what I used to believe, too, but it's software that makes the computer.
I'm still surprised to find new teachers approaching me for twenty-year-old
Apple II computers because the new machines that the district provided just
don't have the software that their students need. Apple II educational
software abounds!
