But that's why I've ended up with all kinds of junk, because you never
know when you'll need it.
So I have a bunch of Commodore books, and no 64, because I've found them
at used book sales for next to nothing. If they were commonly seen now, I
wouldn't bother, but they aren't so I grab them, either thinking I might
need or want them someday, or better I should grab them than they get
tossed when nobody else wants them.
Just today I passed by a computer store that was selling off old CDROMs
for a dollar each. I bought a few, but I threw a bunch back that
attracted me at first, because I don't need them and probably won't
ever need them. On the other hand, I found a copy of MKLinux, that
runs on a PowerMac, which is wonderful because just two weeks ago
I bought a 6100 for ten dollars.
I think it all evens out, at some point. I once bought an Amiga
book for a dollar, just because, and then found an Amiga 500 for
ten dollars.
When you do find things, either that you've been hoping to find,
or even just things at great prices like that PowerMac, you really
do feel lucky. And the seller is probably feeling pretty lucky
too, that they were finally able to get rid of that junk.
