I appreciate all the advice and help I've received, but I ended up giving up
on it eventually, and settling for another solution:  ProTerm, and Asimov to
do the same things, only a bit more involved.

I'll keep all of that in mind though, because I'm still experimenting so I
can set things up for IIes and similar machines.  (I did run it at anywhere
from 2400 to 9600, and had my ZipGS set up accordingly.  You'd be surprised
how much doesn't run if you don't have the standard settings set. ;)
