I understand what you mean by the bus David, but that's why putting all the enhancements on one card, and "moving" ROM, etc to RAM on the card would allow you to avoid the bus, except when you would wish to use Apple hardware. Bernie already emulates the hardware, this would allow you to only have to emulate the CPU.

Wouldn't it be easier to have a drop in "turbo" card with on board RAM,
so that you could utilize the IIgs hardware and ROMs?


I could see you adding ethernet and possibly VGS (Second Sight)
capabilites to such a card....
