--> Again, thanks for having the patience (and excellent ASCII-art
skills ;-> ) and time to explain things further. It all goes
into the bionic bitbucket for cogitating...

So it looks as though I can get my IIgs connected to my P2P
network and use FTP to do file-related work, with a reasonable
chance of success and without total bankruptcy (and I ain't a-
gonna do newspapers - when I had to fill-in for a sick daughter
at 4:30am, when it was minus 30 - it made quite the... umm...
`impression' on moi - never again!!!); but unless others do
wonderous things on the IIe-side - that won't happen. Well,
1 outta 2's OK. Will do more reading, research and fiscal
    planning. Time will tell.

And your posting really _DOES_ belong in the FAQ - the networking
side of life is about the only remaining item not covered by
the FAQs. That's good, approachable info you've given. Thanks.
