Hi Roger!
Thanks! That definitely makes life easier.. I'm trying to get the
hang of this and I'm a *little* impatient, I think. But I'm
determined.
Can you help with another (probably) easy Question?
How do I read a text file in either DOS 3.3 or ProDOS?
I can't remember that far back! =) I need some sort of text viewing
program, I'm sure, but what should I use or what would you recommend?
Here's what I had to do for the TANK game I mentioned:
- Download TANK.SHK from the web page, saved to my HD
- Used Apple Oasis Emu to copy TANK.SHK into a ProDOS .DSK file
- Booted ShrinkIt, and extracted the TANK.SHK files to a ProDOS disk
- Used Apple Oasis Emu to copy the game files to a DOS 3.3 disk
Wow- Cool, the Apple Oasis EMU lets me easily select and copy text;
here's the CATALOG for the TANK game:
]CATALOG
DISK VOLUME 254
A 002 HELLO
*A 053 TANK.COMBAT
A 019 TANK.COMBAT.INS
B 004 TANK.S
T 002 TANK.START
I assume that TANK.START is a text file explaining how to start it??
So far, I can't figure out how to read the file under DOS 3.3..
Thanks for all your help!
