: original ROM contents to purposefully prevent their being used on 
: clones? If your clone uses EPROMs as ROMs, and you have access to an 
: EPROM programmer, you might try installing ROMs with original Apple II+

The F8 ROM is an EPROM. I copied ProDOS 1.2 to my ProDOS User's disk and
got it to work. I don't have an EPROM programmer or an original II plus.
