I have a boxed original of Essential Data Duplicator 4 Plus which
comes with a small card. The box says:

'Essential Data Duplicator, EDD version 4 PLUS is the most
powerful software/hardware package available for making back up
copies of "uncopyable" or "copy-protected" disks. This PLUS
version of EDD is mainly aimed at the DEDICATED user, and
contains a specially designed hardware card which allows EDD to
copy EVERY bit of information from each track accurately. You
can bet that if EDD 4 PLUS can't copy it, nothing will!'

The card looks like a small Disk ][ controller and I have yet to try
it. I got it a couple years ago with a large shipment I got from a
guy who was getting rid of all his Apple II stuff.
