The jumper on the Rev D is for termination power. Most drives do
provide term power but a few do not, most notably the zip drives.
With a zip drive you would normally have the jumper on. I
believe the only situation where you need the jumper off is if you're
using an old Sider drive. Chances of that are pretty small nowadays.

The Zip drive has a switch on the back. If it's set to termination
then no terminator is needed.

Any id from 0 to 7

No disk. was needed as everthing was built-in. Holding down the 0 while
starting up will normally take you into the utility. If for some reason
the
utility just won't come up then moving the ramfast to another active slot
should force it to come up
