The maximum partition size for a ProDOS partition is 32mb.
If you use HFS, you can use considerably larger(understatement :-)
partitions but your boot partition must be ProDOS and you can only
run GS/OS applications off a HFS partition. If you format larger than
32mb you'll have to initialize the partition from system software after
you startup. On larger HDs most people use several ProDOS and one
HFS partition
The ramfast can have up to 12 partitions per drive. If you have multiple
drives you can only have 12 partitions active at any time. However you
can easily go into the utility and deactivate one partition and activate
another.
If it works, there's a ROMdisk that contains the ramfast utility. You may
want to copy that to a floppy or the HD before turning it off under
Options

If it works and you can spare the HD, you may want to leave it attached
to the ramfast. Most HDs are noticably faster than zip drives.
