It doesn't work like that, unfortunately. If you don't have access to 
any 800K floppies, you can fool the Mac into thinking 1.44s are 800ks by 
taping over the hole opposite the write protect hole on the disks. (The 
write protect hole has a sliding plastic thing to open or close it, the 
other one, the one you need to tape over doesn't.)

Once taped over the Mac will think they're double-sided media instead of 
HD and let you format prodos 800k. Then you should be able to copy to 
them using DiskCopy as William suggested. You may still have problems 
with some Macs, their floppy drives just don't seem to do the right 
things with 800k.

Also bear in mind that you are forcing the issue with the disk media. It 
will work, but there's no telling how long for. I tried this with a 
number of floppies, and few of them lasted more than a few months before 
becoming unusable, some of them failed much sooner than that. Still it 
should be enough for you to get up and running.
