Something which must be considered in constructing any Faraday
cage is the power levels it will be subjected to and the resulting
current-carrying requirement.

Since there are no convenient room-temperature perfect conductors,
any surface current induced in the cage will result in a voltage
gradient, which will create fields inside the cage as well.

What are the field strengths and frequencies involved in an EMP?
This will be crucial in designing an effective shield.
