Re: How would you Nuclear Hardened Your Apple?
Hi,
The shielding that you see on the inside is for RFI (Radio {& tv } Frequency
Interference) same is with the power supply. This is will not protect it an EMP
pulse.
If a bomb was detonated in the atmosphere, or far enough away there would not be
enough radiation to be felt, but the EMP plus it would renerate would be enough to
Kill all electronics. Not quite like a microwave. Cars, Phones, TVs, Radios
electronics would be dead. Transformer, Resistors & Caps should survive, but any ICs
or Transistors may by shorted out that would include all replacement parts. Like the
ones that are on shelves in Radio Shack.
