One of the chips on the vtech UDC appears to be a custom chip which would likely
make
such a project unfeasible as short of having to order thousands of chips the only
source
would be off a Laser computer motherboard.
A possibly better option might be to produce some blank Superdrive cards. It'd
require a
SWIM chip but there's a lot of old Macs around. Maybe a few of the surface mount
chips
like the 65C02 could be changed to regular chips. I believe, maybe incorrectly,
that you
should be legal enough producing a blank card.
