I'm lucky. In my school district, my reputation for putting Apple II computers
to work is somewhat established, including getting heads-ups before equipment
is trashed or sold. I recently salvaged a touch window, still in the original
box. It was great for presenting a hands-on demonstration of coordinate math
to a fifth grader last month. I used MECC's Computer Inspector's joystick
diagnostic so he could get the idead of coordinates. He later transferred his
hands-on experience to positive and negative coordinates.
Wonderful!
