Apparently you followed sufficient procedures to narrow the condition
down. However you did not (IMOO) document them sufficiently in your
initial post so others could follow your logic along to your
conclusion.
I've been doing troubleshooting and computer support too long not to
automatically look for human error in the sequence, be it operational
issues or troubleshooting. Whenever I have gotten a call to follow
another technician out on a repair, there is usually something minor
that was missed in the troubleshooting chain. Before you think me
perfect, yes, I too have suffered the occasional brain fart.
As for my creds, very similar to yours.
