Need some help

I want to start working on my freeware Apple /// emulator again. But I
need a little help - from an Apple ][ person. I had written (back in
98) a short Applesoft program that loaded a very short machine language
program (maybe 20 or 30 bytes) that called the DOS read a sector
routine, to read a given track/sector into memory (probably at $2000 or
so).

The Applesoft program would call this machine langauge program once for
each sector on the disk, then spit the data out the serial port to the
Mac, that way I could make a disk image (of any DOS, ProDOS, or SOS
disk).

Well, I don't have that program any more. My Apple ][ knowledge has
definately faded. I can still do Applesoft, and 6502 assembly, but
don't have any info on calling DOS from assembly langauge.

Does anyone have handy the necessary info to read in a sector? I just
need to specify the track and sector, and where to have it read in. I
forget if this was all one call or not. Probably one call to move to
the track, and then one to read a sector, specifying the buffer
location?

I have a copy of the complete Washington Apple Pi Apple /// library
(including the "good stuff" if you know what I mean) which I hope to
make disk images of, yeah, all 300+ disks at some point...
