I don't remember that being the main problem originally. It became
the main problem at some later time though, that's true.

FWIW, I think it's perfectly ok to use cracked versions of copyrighted
software. If I buy the software, for instance, then I'd still like to
copy it, install it on the hard disk, etc. If the software is otherwise
not available, and I'd like to use it, then I'll gladly download a
cracked version from an FTP site.
