The IIgs is a 16-bit system not 8-bit. AU$30 is quite a reasonable price for
a system which has so much new features compared to a IIe. They are
certainly much rarer than Quadras, and much more interesting.
The ROM 3 is not _that_ rare, but it is desirable. There are three
versions -- ROM 0, ROM 1 and ROM 3. You need 1 or 3 to run the GS/OS (a
graphical operating system). The version 3 has 1024k of memory on board
compared to 256k in the 0 and 1.
