Wait a minute.  I thought sure I read someplace that 768k is indeed a
valid setting (logically it would be off...on) but that there are
perfectly valid reasons for not using that configuration.  I'm rummaging
around the office right now looking for that...I think I have a manual for
the card around here someplace.....

I dunno.  Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but I could swear I read
someplace that 768k is a valid setting, but that it is impractical for
some reason...
