I have an Apple 2 GS and an Apple PowerMac G4 Dual 450. Now I also have no
software on my GS that allows me to use a modem or receive files. I also
dont have a Floppy disk drive on my G4 so cant transfer information via a
floppy. What I do have is the following a printer cable which I could plug
into the serial of my GS and on my G4 I have a serial to USB adapter that
would be able to link the two systems up as a null modem cable linkup. The
main problem is I only have software on the G4 (xterm) but nothing on the GS
side to download it? So is there a short basic program I could type in that
would allow me to send a GS comms program from the G4 to the GS? The program
would only have to be very basic as I only need to receive the comms program
and then I can use that with all its features (does anybody know any good
shareware comms apps out there for the GS?) all help is very welcome.
Thankyou
Bob
