Thanks Mark - I appreciate the continued advice. I think it's boiling down
to burning a CD. I've got some bids out there on CD-ROMs and will likely go
that route. The person who sold me the 'dead old stock' Apple cable did not
seem certain as to whether it was null or not. As such, I assumed it was
not. The PR#2 test will be helpful when I get my stamina back up to try the
null modem cable.
The issue always comes back to needing software on the //gs that will
support multiple hard drives and HFS file systems. As a result, It's looking
like I'll try the CD-ROM thing first. If I need to transfer small amounts of
data later, I'll re-eveluate the null modem cable. I bet you can see from my
previously posted experience that my brain is turning to 'null' the more I
work with it!!!
