No, you should not be using the extra Null Modem cable - the Apple ][c's
printer cable is already a Null modem cable.  I have an Apple ][c and I do
transfers occasionally, and I found out the hard way what works and what
doesn't.

When ADT is installed, grab SST of Asimov - you can then transfer copy
protected disks as NIBs as well.
