Central point option board?

I was looking throug a box of old parts today and I found what I *think* is a
Central Point Option Board. If I'm correct, this connects through the PC's
floppy controller so that 360k PC drives can read the 140k GCR disks. Is this
correct? Can anybody give me more information? Thanks.
