You might try "technician in a can", also known as freeze spray. Keep half
the board cool with a light spritzing, see if the crashing stops. If so,
spritz half of that area, see if the crashing stops, etc. That way, you
should be able to isolate the problem component.
A couple of caveats, no need to get it too cold, beware of condensation if
the humidity is high.
BTW, one type of component with a limited lifespan is the electrolytic
capacitors. They don't last forever.
