One of the requirements for the Apple IIgs memory is that it be a
special "CAS-before-RAS" refresh type. This can be difficult to
determine, and there used to be lists published for manufacturers,
part numbers, and even date codes of compatible chips. I tried a quick
look for this info somewhere on the Internet, but I didn't find a good
source to point you to. (Maybe someone else here will know of one.)
