That is something that you can only answer for yourself. Others have no
problems with emulators (other than the constant legal issues that surround
them). Myself, I tend to consider them inferior to the genuine article, even
though technically some are very capable. Used as a development platform, I
can definitely see the advantages, but crank up the old Rom1 once in
awhile... it will be worth it.
