Fair enough. I shouldn't have put the above statement in the way I did. I'll
rephrase it below.

That seems like a totally ridiculous statement to me. I think I could do
that very easily. Or maybe I am just dense. Would you please enlighten me as
to some of the possible ways an author could be damaged from the sharing of
his 20-year-old DOS 3.2 game title?
I don't know, maybe there are some authors in the world who really and truly
desire to see their hard work lost forever. I simply can't imagine such a
reaction. Why would any normal person want that in a case such as this?
OK, since you deliberately did not answer my original questions, let me
rephrase here in a different manner:
Please give me the names of some people who have been in any way upset to
learn that the games they wrote are now being shared freely 5 or more years
after they ceased production and distribution. I would appreciate it if you
would also note the ones who have specifically requested that their games
not be shared.
Please understand that I am not trying to jerk you around. I am quite
serious about those questions. I really want to know these names. I do not
wish to contravene the wishes of any software author. I would like to see a
regular posting of a list of such authors so that we all could honor their
wishes.
