Apple IIgs's can connect to the network with the serial ports in the back
(one of them is set to AppleTalk through the control panel). Apple IIe's
need a workstation card installed, which is hard to find.

Apple IIc's can't hook up to a network. At one time Apple was going to
make a little box for it that let it connect to a network (the software
for it is in the ROM in some IIc's) but the hardware was never released.
