PR#3 is an output remapping command. By typing PR#3 you are remapping
output to the card in the auxilary slot (in this case an 80-column card).
All it actually does is call location $C300, where the card's ROM starts.

How long is the card? Is it just a little bit longer than the slot, or is
it much longer? If it's much longer it has the additiona1 64K.

Applesoft is much simpler than C or C++. Consider this sample program:

10 TEXT:HOME
20 HTAB 10:VTAB 22:PRINT "Applesoft Graphics Demo"
30 HGR
35 HCOLOR=0:HPLOT 0,0
40 C=INT(RND(1)*8)
50 X=INT(RND(1)*280)
60 Y=INT(RND(1)*140)
70 HCOLOR=C:HPLOT TO X,Y
80 GOTO 40

As you can see, it's close enough to English.
