-If you go this route believe the above recomendations!
I had a 500 meg Focus I originally purchased for a Franklin (but that's another
story) and accidentally demolished the drive but the card was good so,
basically I had this setup. I found a used Seagate 200meg drive locally and in
the mean time got a GS up on System 6 (mandatory in that the Focus Format
software runs on GS/OS). It works so-so on the 1st 3 partitions and not very
well on the rest in spite of many reformats. I broke down and ordered a 2nd
Focus and now use the 1st one on a IIe, where it behaves, My new one I use as a
backup for my 2 ROM 03's each of which run on SCSI cards and a passle of
drives. By the way: I usually use Slot 4 (set to Your Card) for the Foucs
since these are ROM 03s, but on ROM 01s I would use 7 or better 1 or 2.
I would STRONGLY reccomend the 2nd choice and get the drive, software, etc
with the card. Rebuilding my 1st one was educational, and as with all good
learnin, it was a bit painful.
Untill I take my next trip to Deutchland... Alltech rules!
