How do you know that? That's an assumption. And remember what happens when you
assume.

made or not made? I sure don't. Why not ask him?

But it is possible that someone bought some of AE's assets, like the right to their
designs or eproms. That often happens to companies that go under. And if that has
happened, then you could find yourself in a pickle.

I've bought lots' of hardware, and I've never seen a a right to an upgrade stated
on any literature that came with any hardware I've bought. Now, some companies do
do that, but as a courtesy, not as a "right".

I read above that version 1.8 was needed for the daughter card. Could it not be
that Mr. Lange has the right to sell the image with the daughter card? If so, then
there is still a legal commercial outlet to one AE product, and to give it away
wouldn't be your right, though it might be within Mr. Lange's rights.

Perhaps his right to sell something if he so chooses.
