I read the book "Apple Confidential". There was a chapter about
a x86 port of the Mac OS. Apple killed it because that would
make Apple a software only company. If you could run MacOS and
applications on cheap PC hardwares, would you still buy expensive
and proprietary hardwares from Apple?
