Thanks for the help, Supertimer, RubyWand, and Adelbert, but the
problem worsens. :-)
I downloaded 6.0.1 Install and System disks. The only change has been
that, now, I can't even boot the Install disk. I get the message,
"Can't find ProDOS."
I looked at P8 and it's 18K.
I can get into Control Panel as the machine boots up, for what it's
worth.
What could I have done to this machine (or more likely, the Install
and System disks) to have created this problem? On the other hand, if
I'm using *new* disks, perhaps the problem is *not* with the disks,
but rather with some internal ROM or RAM setting.
I have the Applied Science (?) 1.6 MB RAM board, and a TransWarp
Accelerator card installed.
This problem began when I installed an Apple RAM card for a short
time.
Thanks again for the advice and counsel. I know I need to buy the hard
drive add-on card, but that'll be in the future.
