IIc self test

I picked up an Apple IIc the other day for $60 complete with original 9"
monitor, mouse and monitor stand. I remember that the IIc had a self
test mode that you could put it into. Does anyone know how to place the
system into self test mode? I have found that if you boot it and press
control, open apple, closed apple and reset the screen changes and it
"seems" to be running some sort of test. How long did the original test
take? Didn't it state when it finished something about the kernel being
ok or it would report a problems with the cpu?

What is the correct key sequence to initialize the self test?
