That's where SuperMenuPack from My eSource comes in so handy.

I mentioned this in another thread not too long ago.  One of its
functions it to allow you to pop open a window that shows all 256
characters in the current font and it can show you what keys to press
to get that character (if there is a keypress for it) or you can get
SuperMenuPack to type it for you or you can put a number of characters
into a line edit box and then copy and paste that into your document.
