Woah, my GS is acting FREAKY!

Today I was working a bit on my GS, which, up to this point, hadn't
really done anything strange... I did a ctrl-apple-reset to restart the
computer, and suddenly instead of rebooting, it went into some strange
graphics test mode, where it slowly changed the colors of the screen and
border, then finally played a row of ascending notes and said "system
okay"... Odd, I thought, and when I hit ctrl-apple-reset, the same damn
thing happened again... Okay then, let's just shut her down and start
over from scratch... before it could even access a disk, it gave me a
menu:

1=Enter the Control Panel.
2=Set system standards and 60 hertz.
3=Set system standards and 50 hertz.
4=Continue restarting the system.

Hitting one brought me the control panel (duh). I could change anything
I liked, but nothing seemed to make a lick of difference. When I quit,
it restarted and gave me the same bloody menu.

Hitting 2 restarted and gave me the same menu.

Hitting 3 made the horizontal hold a bit funky, restarted the system,
gave me the same menu.

Hitting 4 restarted and gave me the same menu.

Ctrl-apple-reset gave me that weird graphic test mode again.

Oh, and another thing - I have a Transwarp GS on this computer, and at
no time did it ever access it, do the little Transwarp info graphic,
nothing. It didn't even give me Transwarp options on the control panel.

Sooooooo... what GIVES?!? I can't do anything on the GS any more!
