I get files to my Apple IIgs is a number of ways.

- If I'm downloading from Delphi, I do so with Spectrum v2.2 through a
Marinetti v2.0.1 connection (usually using Crock O'Gold as it makes it
really easy to download new stuff).
- If I'm getting stuff from an FTP site I will either download it with
my PC using my cable modem or using the IIgs by running gwftp through
a Marinetti connection.

If I download stuff onto my PC then I have several ways of getting the
files to my IIgs.

- Null modem the files
- Boot BeOS and write the files to either my SCSI Jaz drive or my SCSI
EZ135 drive formatted in HFS format then move the drive to the IIgs
and copy the files off.
- Write the files to an MS-DOS formatted floppy, take that disk to my
Mac IIsi, copy the files from that floppy to an 800k HFS floppy and
take the HFS floppy to my IIgs.

If I had the proper software I could also just take the MS-DOS floppy
to my IIgs and read the files off and if I ever get around to
registering MUG!, then I could even write files to the Jaz or EZ135
drive from Windows 95 or BeOS in MS-DOS format and copy them to the
IIgs using MUG!.

There are probably other methods but this message is getting too long
as it is. :-)

Why change standards after almost two decades? There is nothing wrong
with the current standards so we might as well stick with it.
Besides, this would be extremely wasteful and inefficient.
