Perhaps I have too much time on my hands. Yet, it really
wasn't that hard. I know how you feel. I felt the same a
few years ago when I first tried Linux. It was even worse
then and I gave it up for a while. But it gnawed at me
that I had done so.

I think the learning part was part of the fun. I still
don't know what a lot of those programs do or if I even
need them. I just leave them be and trust the authors
opinion that they should be there.

I really like X. At least the packages I have tried. The
new Gnome desktop is great.

Better get off this thread though.
