It is an Apple IIe. Software is easily found. The simplest
solution is to get the Focus internal hard disk drive card.
The card is a hard drive that plugs into slot 7 giving you
500MB of storage. It comes with the OS and a library of
freeware and shareware. Plug and play. For a little extra,
the company that makes the drive, http://www.allelec.com/
Alltech Electronics will install AppleWorks 3.0, a suite of
integrated software (word processing, spreadsheet, and
database) onto the drive as well.
Note: once HD is installed in system, you start the IIe
by flipping the power switch at which time it boots the
operating system, just like a Mac or PC.
