     True; but, then, it does not need to. The idea is to have any modified
HCGS runtime clearly labeled as such on the download sites. (Upon being
downloaded and transferred, the .shk filename would be shortened by a receiving
Apple II running ProDOS.)  The name of the unShrinked file would be ProDOS
compatible.

     The suggestion is not to rename the file itself; it is to rename the .shk
version of the file as maintained on a download site. Once the file is
unShrinked, you have the readme file as a reminder that the particular
HyperCard Player is a modified version.

     The need is to descriminate between the standard runtime and modified
runtimes. These files could be fairly close in terms of size. Correct labeling
of the .shk file on download sites plus the included readme file will inform
the user and make it easy to maintain modified versions of runtime.
