on a related note; what does one do to keep a HFS volume full of prodos
files healthy??

Mac utilities will choke on the prodos file, GS utilites can't repair an
HFS volume: if something goes wrong w/ directory structure etc, what can
you do?

Just cuiorus, though right now any error msgs O get from the HFS volume
seem to go away after a reboot.....
