Besides What's Where in the Apple II mentioned by Bryan, a good guide to
monitor routines is the disassembled listings with comments found in the
Apple II Reference. There is a similar listing in the //e Technical Reference
Manual and, probably, in the //c Technical Reference.
Reading through a well-commented disassemby listing can be a big help in
learning to program, too.
