Re: Marinetti Telnet Problem...



	I too am hoist on the horns of soon to be dropped Text
support by LAFN.  I was testing Marinetti/TELNET and discovered
that I could indeed make a PPP conection to the local dial-up
numbers but that the TELNET 1.0 would not connect to any site
on the web (error $8001) other than lafn.org (don't use the www).
	Upon inquiry lafn support replied that they didn't
allow TELNET beyond their borders, and besides why would I even
want to when they had several TELNET connections available thru
their menus. !!!
	BTW I also got all the ugly control codes and droped
into mousetext that others have reported.  It was suddested that
I set my TELNET prefrences to filter control codes.
