Modem Programs for the Apple ][ ..

I have an enormous amount of games and utlities for my Apple //e (what true
fan doesn't?) but I have yet to come across a modem program or
communications util in my vast amount of disks.  (note, i am talking about
real hardware and not emulator).

so, i was curious about what the good, bad, ugly, and whatever else there
was as to apple ][ communication software.. bbs software? what baud has ever
been achieved/supported for an apple? comm software too..

Basically, I'm just trying to get some more general knowledge about the
software, hardware, etc. that existed -- note: i am geared towards //e stuff
over GS just because.

I'm only 18 years old now, so while I grew up with my Apple ][, i missed
most of its heyday for selling software and apps.  However, I'm still a true
fan.

Any info is appreciated -- my response to my last post was phenom.  thanks!
