Well, I think that the card has some crucial, I guess) drive encoder and
controller type stuff on it, although I guess if you put it all in a box
that attached to the drive port, maybe...
But, when I had access to one in the past, it was in a IIci and worked fine...
(If you have a copy of DOS Mounter II, it will mount the disks in the
Finder as well, delightful...and it doesn't need a special driver like the
DF-II either)
