I've been following this thread with fascination (there, broken it already
by incuding no quoted material ;-) thinking, "There but for the grace of
God, went I"
Our local paper Monday had a press release disguised as editorial where a
local "IT Outsourcer" (read: Business Software Solutions Provider) is
moving into Asset Management, and HR. Heading was
Positive signs in IT management
...
People understand about getting someone else to
handle their IT, but they say 'I know how to do
property management' or 'I can do HR'.
...
Too often companies will re-engineer their business
but not look at those non-core service costs.
...
HR is no different than IT. You start by building up
trust in areas of technical weakness clients may have.
It really is a different world those PHBs live in...
