Please Help: Apple2 Disk Images to Real Apple Floppy

Hello,

I have been trying to write disk image files downloaded from the
asimov site to a real floppy on my apple IIgs.  I have tried disk2file
and Asimov....and both are giving me no success at all.  My methods
are explained below.

I transfer the disk image from pc to mac....as my mac can read PC
floppies.  I then transfer from the mac to a prodos floppy.  Insert
prodos floppy in my GS....and....try to run asimov and/or disk2file on
it.  It gives me an error...and won't write.  I have successfully
created disk image files on the GS...and written them back to floppy.
But.....after transfering this working disk image to mac...then
pc...then back to mac...then back to GS.....the file is unusable by
asimov and disk2file.  I suspect that something is getting stripped
from the file in the transfer process.  In all cases...the images will
work on an apple II emulator.  The disk images show up as text files
when transfered back to the GS...not as binary like they were
originally.  I tried changing the file attributes back to binary
(0006), and....this still didn't help.

Please.....if anyone has a solution.....your thoughts on this subject
would be greatly appreciated.
