If you are using it on the IIGS for anything more than transfer
to a Windows PC with MUG!, then it is not IBM formatted.  I
think you mean to say that the drive was ORIGINALLY IBM
pre-formatted when new.  No longer matters.  Once you format
with HFS or ProDOS on the IIGS, the disk becomes Apple IIGS
formatted.

Hrmph, ProDOS, that's a toughie.  You should have formatted it
HFS.  I have almost all of my Zip disks formatted HFS.  Using
the GenEx program in conjunction with ADU, such Zip disks
are readable on a Mac.  ProDOS, I don't know...

My suggestion is to just try to find an SCSI card for your IIGS.
