I just checked the IW2 manual, and it agrees with my cable pinout (for
the DB-25 connector), except that it suggests connecting Mini-Din-8 pin
1 to all of PC pins 5, 6 and 8 (CTS, DSR and DCD).  For a DE-9
connector, that would be pins 8, 6 and 1.

Try that and see if it makes any difference.  If not, I'd be inclined to
suspect the driver.  Try printing from DOS (rebooting into DOS, not in a
window), e.g. by redirecting an echo command to COM1, after using MODE
COM1:9600,N,8,1.

(I'm assuming it is still possible to do this with Win95/98 built-in
DOS.  If not, use the real thing - DOS 6.22 or earlier.)

Looks fine to me.  Everything is set to its default position.
